Moon Smoke is a Swiss trio building a sound from fuzz-soaked bass, motorik drums, a battery of synths and a voice on top. Call it disco rock, synth rock, fuzz pop, garage dance — a wall of low frequency, smoke on concrete, and an orange spotlight in the back of a garage.
Jon and Sergio write the songs, the lyrics, the low end. Bass, drums, synths, arrangement. Up front, a voice carries the words — in the studio and on stage.
Think Death From Above 1979 wired through a broken modular. Think basement club meets dust. Think the constant signal you can't quite tune out.
Isolation. The frequency you can’t tune out.
Authenticity — when the mask starts to slip.
Anger, quiet and specific.
The voice in the speaker telling you to comply.
Digging for the signal under the noise.
